  1. Administer renal dialysis treatment to patients according to established protocols and standards.
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment parameters as needed.
  3. Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of dialysis equipment and supplies.
  4. Educate patients and their families on dialysis procedures, potential complications, and self-care techniques.
  5. Document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  6. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
  8. Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate assistance as needed.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of current practices and procedures.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients and their families.
  11. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during the dialysis process.
  12. Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and follow-up care.
  13. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel.
  14. Adhere to all policies and procedures of the medical center and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  15. Continuously strive to improve patient care and outcomes by actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Job Qualifications

  • Relevant Education And Training: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, As Well As Completion Of An Accredited Renal Dialysis Technician Training Program.

  • Certification: A Valid Certification As A Renal Dialysis Technician From A Recognized Organization, Such As The Board Of Nephrology Examiners Nursing And Technology (Bonent), Is Required.

  • Experience: Previous Experience Working In A Dialysis Setting Is Preferred. Candidates Should Be Familiar With The Equipment, Procedures, And Protocols Used In Renal Dialysis Treatment.

  • Attention To Detail: Renal Dialysis Technicians Must Have Exceptional Attention To Detail To Accurately Monitor Patients' Vital Signs, Record Treatment Information, And Identify Any Potential Complications.

  • Interpersonal And Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As Renal Dialysis Technicians Work Closely With Patients, Medical Staff, And Family Members To Provide Quality Care. Strong Interpersonal Skills And Empathy Are Also Crucial For Building Relationships With Patients And Supporting Them During Treatment.
