- Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Monitor and assess patient's condition, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with healthcare team to create and implement care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and communicate any changes in patient's condition to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make quick and informed decisions in emergency situations.
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatments, and post-treatment care.
- Follow all hospital protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for new or less experienced nurses on the unit.
- Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of nursing practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the unit and hospital.
- Meet or exceed performance expectations and actively participate in performance evaluations.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to infection control, safety, and confidentiality.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required by the hospital.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of nursing staff by promoting a positive work culture and referring potential job candidates.

Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment: This Is A Crucial Qualification For Any Rn Position In The United States. A Valid And Current Rn License Is Required For Practicing As A Registered Nurse In Any Healthcare Setting.
Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree: A Bsn Degree Is Preferred For This Position, As It Provides A More Comprehensive Education And Prepares Nurses For A Higher Level Of Patient Care In A Progressive Care Unit.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Progressive Care Unit: Experience In A Pcu Is Essential For This Role As It Requires The Ability To Provide Advanced Nursing Care To Patients With Complex Medical Conditions.
Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: These Certifications Are Required To Provide Lifesaving Interventions In Case Of Emergencies, Which Are Common In A Pcu Setting.
Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment Like A Pcu, Nurses Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With The Interdisciplinary Team And Critical Thinking Skills To Make Quick And Accurate Decisions For Patient Care.
