
REGISTERED NURSE-PROGRESSIVE CARE UNIT

- Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and assess patient health status, including vital signs, medication administration, and response to treatments.
- Educate patients and their families on health and wellness, as well as disease management and prevention.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation.
- Respond promptly and effectively to changes in patient conditions and emergencies.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care.
- Act as a mentor and resource for new staff members and nursing students.

- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For A Registered Nurse-Progressive Care Unit Position At Lifebridge Health. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Patient Care, And Leadership Skills.
Current Rn Licensure: Candidates Must Possess A Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Maryland. This Demonstrates The Individual's Knowledge And Competency In Providing Safe And Effective Patient Care.
Acls And Bls Certification: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certifications Are Necessary For A Registered Nurse-Progressive Care Unit Role. These Certifications Indicate The Nurse's Ability To Respond To Cardiac Emergencies And Provide Critical Care.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Nursing Experience: Lifebridge Health Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Progressive Care Unit Or A Related Area. This Ensures That The Nurse Is Familiar With The Specialized Care Required For Patients In This Unit.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: A Registered Nurse-Progressive Care Unit Must Possess Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills To Effectively Assess And Monitor Patients, Collaborate With The Healthcare Team, And Make Sound Clinical Decisions.
