Registered Nurse PACU

1. Provide direct patient care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in the PACU.
2. Monitor and assess patients' post-operative status, including vital signs, pain level, and potential complications.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
4. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition of care from the operating room to the PACU.
5. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a positive patient experience.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.
10. Stay updated on current nursing practices and attend continuing education opportunities to maintain and improve clinical skills.
11. Act as an advocate for patients' needs and rights during their recovery process.
12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
13. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients and their families.
14. Serve as a resource and mentor for new staff members and students.
15. Uphold the values of patient-centered care, teamwork, and innovation in all aspects of the job.
