Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Northwest Hospital, a part of the LifeBridge Health system. As a member of our Observation unit, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients who require short-term monitoring and treatment.   1. Provide compassionate and high-quality nursing care to patients requiring short-term monitoring and treatment in the Observation unit.
  2. Utilize clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Build strong relationships with patients and their families by providing education and support.
  4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  5. Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  7. Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  9. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  10. Continuously update knowledge and skills through participation in education and training opportunities.
  11. Act as a patient advocate and promote patient rights and dignity.
  12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  13. Communicate effectively and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  14. Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Maryland.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Previous Nursing Experience In An Acute Care Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
