Join us at LifeBridge Health and be a part of our mission to provide exceptional care to our community.As a Registered Nurse in our Labor and Delivery unit, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to women in various stages of labor and delivery. This includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with the delivery of newborns. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, as well as a current RN license and BLS certification. In addition, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and provide excellent patient care is essential. 1. Provide direct and indirect patient care to women in labor and during delivery.
2. Monitor vital signs and assess labor progression.
3. Administer medications and provide pain management support.
4. Assist with the delivery of newborns, including monitoring and supporting the mother and newborn's health.
5. Communicate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
6. Assess and document patient information and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Educate and support patients and their families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
10. Stay up-to-date with current advancements and best practices in labor and delivery nursing.
11. Attend and participate in team meetings and educational programs.
12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during a vulnerable time.
13. Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy at all times.
14. Follow hospital policies and procedures.
15. Continuously demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate and exceptional care to patients.
16. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a positive patient experience.
17. Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
