  1. Dispensing Medications: The Pharmacy Technician II will be responsible for accurately and efficiently dispensing medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  2. Pharmaceutical Care: The individual in this role will provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to patients by ensuring proper dosages, monitoring for potential drug interactions, and educating patients on proper medication use.
  3. Team Collaboration: This position requires working closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, nurses, and physicians, to provide the best possible care for patients.
  4. Patient Interactions: The Pharmacy Technician II will interact with patients on a daily basis, answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing excellent customer service.
  5. Medication Inventory Management: This individual will be responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of medications, ordering and restocking as needed, and ensuring proper storage and handling of medications.
  6. Compliance and Regulations: The Pharmacy Technician II must adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding the dispensing and handling of medications, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  7. Record Keeping: Accurate record keeping is essential in this role, including documenting medication dispensing, patient interactions, and inventory management.
  8. Quality Assurance: The individual in this position will assist in quality assurance activities, such as medication labeling and packaging, to ensure patient safety.
  9. Training and Mentorship: The Pharmacy Technician II may be responsible for training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians and students to ensure they are following best practices and providing exceptional care to patients.
  10. Professional Development: This role requires staying up-to-date on new medications, regulations, and industry developments, as well as participating in continuing education opportunities to maintain necessary certifications and licenses.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Pharmacy Technician In A Hospital Or Retail Pharmacy Setting.

  • Completion Of A Pharmacy Technician Training Program From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Certification As A Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws And Regulations, Medication Safety Protocols, And Inventory Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals.
