
PATIENT SAFETY OFFICER - QUALITY (RN)

- Develop and implement patient safety programs and initiatives in alignment with LifeBridge Health's mission and values.
- Conduct thorough assessments and analysis of current patient safety practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies for promoting patient safety.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of patient safety initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide education and training to staff on patient safety practices and protocols.
- Utilize data and evidence-based practices to identify and mitigate potential risks to patient safety.
- Serve as a resource and support to staff and patients regarding patient safety concerns and questions.
- Facilitate and lead patient safety committees and meetings.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to patient safety.
- Communicate and collaborate with external agencies and organizations to promote patient safety and quality care.
- Participate in root cause analysis and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to patient safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to patient safety programs and initiatives.
- Serve as a role model for patient safety practices and behaviors.
- Continuously evaluate and improve patient safety processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of care for our patients.
Active Rn License: A Patient Safety Officer - Quality Must Hold A Valid Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Employed. This Ensures That The Individual Is Qualified To Practice Nursing And Is Knowledgeable About Healthcare Regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Healthcare-Related Field: A Patient Safety Officer - Quality Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Quality, Or Patient Safety. This Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In Healthcare Knowledge And Principles.
Quality Improvement Experience: It Is Essential For A Patient Safety Officer - Quality To Have Experience In Quality Improvement Methodologies And Tools Such As Lean Six Sigma, Pdsa Cycles, Or Root Cause Analysis. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Identify And Address Patient Safety Issues Within The Organization.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: Patient Safety Is A Team Effort, And A Patient Safety Officer - Quality Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively And Work Collaboratively With Multidisciplinary Teams. This Includes Physicians, Nurses, Administrators, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Experience In Healthcare Regulatory Compliance: A Patient Safety Officer - Quality Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Standards, Including The Joint Commission, Cms, And State-Specific Regulations. This Will Ensure That The Organization Is In Compliance With All Necessary Requirements To Maintain Patient Safety.
