Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Registration Associate to join our team. As a Patient Registration Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and efficient registration process for our patients.   1. Greet and welcome patients and their families as they arrive at the healthcare facility.
  2. Collect and accurately enter patient information into the registration system.
  3. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
  4. Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
  5. Explain hospital policies and procedures to patients and provide necessary resources.
  6. Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate registration.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and address any patient concerns or questions.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
  10. Manage a high volume of patient registrations while maintaining attention to detail.
  11. Keep track of and organize patient information and files.
  12. Update and maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of patient data.
  13. Help patients navigate the registration process and provide support and guidance as needed.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards all patients and colleagues.
  15. Attend training sessions to stay updated on hospital policies and procedures.
  16. Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
  17. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  18. Continuously strive to improve the patient registration process and suggest ways to increase efficiency.
  19. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and resolve any issues that may arise.
  20. Uphold the mission and values of LifeBridge Health in all interactions with patients and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Registration Associate At Lifebridge Health Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Ensure They Possess Basic Educational Qualifications.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, As They Will Be Responsible For Accurately Recording Patient Information And Medical History.

  • Customer Service Experience: Working In A Healthcare Setting Requires Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, As Patient Registration Associates Will Be Interacting With Patients And Their Families On A Daily Basis.

  • Computer Proficiency: The Ability To Navigate Electronic Medical Records Systems And Other Computer Applications Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Strong Grasp Of Basic Computer Skills And Be Able To Learn New Software Quickly.

  • Attention To Detail: Patient Registration Associates Must Be Detail-Oriented And Have A High Level Of Accuracy When Inputting Patient Information And Verifying Insurance Coverage. This Ensures That Patient Records Are Correct And That Billing Processes Run Smoothly.
