Job Description

Welcome to LifeBridge Health, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team as Patient Care Sitters. As a Patient Care Sitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients, while also providing them with companionship and support during their hospital stay. We are looking for individuals who are attentive, empathetic, and able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.   1. Monitor and observe patients to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
  2. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients during their hospital stay.
  3. Assist patients with basic needs, such as using the restroom or getting up and moving around.
  4. Communicate any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  5. Follow all hospital protocols and procedures, including infection control measures.
  6. Remain attentive and alert for any potential safety hazards or emergencies.
  7. Help patients with meals, snacks, and other basic tasks as needed.
  8. Maintain a calm and reassuring presence for patients who may be agitated or anxious.
  9. Document any observations or incidents regarding patient care accurately and promptly.
  10. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
  11. Attend all required training and educational sessions to maintain and improve skills as a Patient Care Sitter.
  12. Uphold the values and mission of LifeBridge Health, including providing exceptional care to patients.
  13. Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy policies and regulations.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
  15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervising nurse or healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Patient Care: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably As A Nursing Assistant Or Patient Care Technician.

  • Cpr Certification: As A Patient Care Sitter, It Is Important To Have The Knowledge And Skills To Respond To Emergency Situations. A Current Cpr Certification Is Required.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Patients May Be Unable To Communicate Their Needs, So It Is Important For A Patient Care Sitter To Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Both Patients And Healthcare Staff.

  • Compassion And Empathy: A Patient Care Sitter Should Have A Caring And Empathetic Personality, As They Will Be Working Closely With Patients Who May Be In Vulnerable Or Uncomfortable Situations.

  • Physical Stamina: This Job May Require Extended Periods Of Standing, Walking, And Assisting Patients With Mobility. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
