As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.   1. Provide exceptional care to patients: The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that patients receive high quality care that meets their physical, emotional, and medical needs.
  2. Maintain a compassionate and caring attitude: The Patient Care Associate must have a genuine desire to help others and possess the ability to empathize with patients and their families.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team: This role requires strong communication skills in order to effectively interact with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  4. Assist with daily living activities: Patient Care Associates may be responsible for helping patients with activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  5. Monitor and report changes in patient's condition: It is important for Patient Care Associates to pay close attention to patients' health and report any changes to the healthcare team in a timely manner.
  6. Follow hospital policies and procedures: Patient Care Associates must adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized environment: This role may involve tasks such as cleaning patient rooms and organizing supplies to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
  8. Provide emotional support: Patients may be going through a difficult time and the Patient Care Associate may be responsible for providing emotional support and comfort to them and their families.
  9. Complete necessary documentation: Patient Care Associates may be responsible for documenting patient information and care provided accurately and efficiently.
  10. Participate in training and development: In order to provide the best care, Patient Care Associates may be required to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay up-to-date with healthcare practices and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Care Associate I-Union At Lifebridge Health Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Candidates For This Position Must Hold A Valid Cna Certification, Which Includes Completion Of A State-Approved Training Program And Passing A Competency Exam.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Member Of The Healthcare Team, A Patient Care Associate I-Union Must Be Certified In Bls, Which Includes Cpr And Aed Training.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As Patient Care Associates Will Be Required To Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis.

  • Previous Healthcare Experience: Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility, Is Preferred For This Position. This Includes Experience Working With Patients, Handling Medical Equipment, And Understanding Basic Medical Terminology.
