- Manage and maintain the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for our healthcare organization.
- Ensure that medical images and records are properly stored and easily accessible for healthcare providers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the PACS system.
- Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Coordinate with IT and other departments to implement updates and upgrades to the PACS system.
- Train and educate staff on the proper use of the PACS system.
- Develop and enforce security protocols for the PACS system to protect patient privacy.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify and address any issues with the PACS system.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in PACS technology.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans for the PACS system.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all PACS-related activities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Comply with all relevant regulations and standards related to PACS administration.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for any PACS-related inquiries or concerns.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and optimize the PACS system to better serve the needs of our healthcare organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Healthcare Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working With Pacs Systems In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Hipaa Regulations And Experience Maintaining Compliance With Patient Privacy Laws.
Strong Technical Skills, Including Experience With Radiology Information Systems (Ris), Picture Archiving And Communication Systems (Pacs), And Electronic Medical Records (Emr).
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With A Proven Ability To Work Collaboratively With Clinical Staff, It Teams, And Vendors.
