  1. Provide exceptional care to patients in the oncology unit, adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
  2. Work collaboratively with experienced nurses to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the specialized field of oncology.
  3. Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills in assessing patients, identifying changes in their condition, and taking appropriate action.
  4. Utilize effective communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
  5. Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  6. Participate in educational opportunities and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  8. Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients and their families.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold ethical standards.
  10. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by actively participating in team meetings and offering ideas for improvement.
  11. Follow all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care, including medication administration and patient safety protocols.
  12. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare setting.
  13. Attend and actively participate in orientation and training programs as required.
  14. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times while representing LifeBridge Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Nurse Resident At Lifebridge Health's Oncology Department Must Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Work In A Specialized Unit Such As Oncology.

  • Current Rn License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Of Maryland. This Ensures That The Individual Has Met The State's Requirements For Practicing As A Nurse And Is Legally Allowed To Work In The Oncology Unit.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Lifebridge Health Requires All Nurse Residents In The Oncology Department To Have A Current Bls Certification. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills To Respond To Emergency Situations And Perform Life-Saving Techniques.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Working In The Oncology Unit Requires Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills. The Candidate Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And The Interdisciplinary Team To Provide Quality Care And Support.

  • Passion For Oncology Nursing: A Nurse Resident In The Oncology Department At Lifebridge Health Must Have A Passion For Working With Cancer Patients. This Requires Empathy, Compassion, And A Strong Desire To Make A Positive Impact On The Lives Of Patients And Their Families.
