Job Description

As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions, using advanced technology and techniques.   1. Perform various diagnostic tests on patients with neurological disorders, including EEGs, nerve conduction studies, and evoked potentials.
  2. Monitor and interpret patient data during testing to ensure accurate results.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the most effective diagnostic and treatment plans for patients.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment used in diagnostic testing, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  5. Educate patients and their families about the procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
  6. Keep accurate and detailed records of patient information and test results.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  8. Stay current with advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and techniques, and implement them in daily practice.
  9. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and individualized patient care.
  10. Provide support and assistance to other healthcare professionals during emergency situations.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control protocols.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  13. Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of diagnostic procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
  14. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  15. Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and empathy towards patients and coworkers at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Neurodiagnostic Technologist (Cnt) Or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (Rpsgt) Credential From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret) Or The Board Of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (Brpt).

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Neurodiagnostics, Neurophysiology, Or Biomedical Engineering.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing A Variety Of Neurodiagnostic Procedures, Including Eeg, Emg, And Nerve Conduction Studies.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Equipment And Software Used In Neurodiagnostic Testing, Such As Eeg Machines, Emg Machines, And Sleep Study Software.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.
