Job Description

As a Neurodiagnostic Tech B, you will play a crucial role in our neurology department by performing a variety of diagnostic tests and procedures to help our physicians accurately diagnose and treat patients.   1. Conduct and perform diagnostic tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Operate and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment, ensuring proper functioning and accuracy of results.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions.
  4. Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
  5. Collect and record accurate patient data and results, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide accurate and timely reports.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current practices and advancements in the field of neurodiagnostics.
  8. Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures and patient information.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care and customer service, ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
  11. Assist with maintaining and ordering supplies and equipment necessary for neurodiagnostic procedures.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of departmental processes and procedures.
  13. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and accreditation standards.
  14. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  15. Collaborate with other team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
  16. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development in the field of neurodiagnostics.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Neurodiagnostic Technology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Certification In Neurodiagnostic Technology From An Accredited Institution, Such As The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret).

  • Experience In Neurodiagnostic Testing: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Neurodiagnostic Tests, Such As Eeg, Emg, And Nerve Conduction Studies, In A Clinical Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Neuroanatomy And Physiology: A Thorough Understanding Of Neuroanatomy And Physiology Is Essential For Accurately Interpreting And Reporting On Neurodiagnostic Test Results.

  • Proficient In The Use Of Neurodiagnostic Equipment: Applicants Should Be Proficient In The Use Of Various Neurodiagnostic Equipment, Such As Eeg Machines, Emg Machines, And Nerve Conduction Study Equipment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial In This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
