- Conduct MRI scans and procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Prepare patients for MRI scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate MRI equipment accurately and efficiently, making adjustments as needed to produce quality images.
- Monitor patients during scans to ensure their safety and comfort, and promptly address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures and patient information.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation and reporting of MRI results.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure proper maintenance of MRI equipment.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements and changes in MRI technology and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients, while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Educate patients about the MRI process and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Work closely with other members of the healthcare team to provide a seamless and efficient patient experience.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
Certified Mri Technologist: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Valid Certification In Mri Technology From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That They Have Received Proper Training And Have The Necessary Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.
Experience In Mri Scanning: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Performing Mri Scans. This Experience Should Include Working With Various Types Of Mri Equipment And Knowledge Of Different Imaging Techniques.
Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: As Mri Scanning Involves Exposure To Strong Magnetic Fields, The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Procedures. This Includes Knowledge Of Emergency Procedures And The Ability To Handle Any Potential Safety Hazards.
Strong Technical Skills: A Successful Mri Tech Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Technology And The Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues That May Arise During A Scan. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems And Be Proficient In Computer Skills.
