Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Office Assistant (CMA) to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our healthcare team by supporting and assisting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care.   1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Register patients, collect and verify insurance information, and schedule appointments.
  3. Assist healthcare providers in preparing patients for exams and procedures.
  4. Take and record vital signs and patient history accurately and efficiently.
  5. Maintain and update patient medical records and ensure confidentiality.
  6. Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  7. Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with specimen collection as needed.
  8. Handle phone calls, messages, and other correspondence, triaging and directing as necessary.
  9. Assist with medication refills and prescription requests.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  11. Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and follow-up care instructions.
  12. Provide administrative support such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
  13. Follow all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  14. Attend training and educational programs to stay updated on medical procedures and protocols.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service and address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
  16. Maintain stocks of medical and office supplies and place orders as needed.
  17. Adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
  18. Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain authorization and pre-certification for procedures.
  19. Assist with billing and coding tasks as necessary.
  20. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the medical office.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Credential From A Recognized Institution Or Organization.

  • Previous Experience Working In A Medical Office Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Coding.

  • Proficiency In Computer Skills, Including Electronic Medical Records And Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Doctors, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
