We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for our Rehab (TBI) Unit, where you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries.   1. Perform routine nursing duties such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing wound care to patients on the Rehab (TBI) Unit.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  3. Assess patient status and make necessary adjustments to care plans to ensure optimal recovery.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education and support regarding treatment plans and progress.
  5. Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
  7. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  8. Assist with patient rehabilitation activities and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  9. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new protocols and procedures.
  10. Maintain knowledge of current trends and advancements in rehab nursing and attend continuing education opportunities as required.
  11. Act as a resource and mentor for other nursing staff and students on the Rehab (TBI) Unit.
  12. Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families at all times.
  13. Follow all policies and procedures of LifeBridge Health and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Lpn License: Candidates For The Lpn Rehab Unit Job At Lifebridge Health Must Possess A Current And Active Lpn License In The State Of Maryland.

  • Experience In Rehabilitation Settings: Due To The Specialized Nature Of The Tbi Unit, Candidates Must Have Previous Experience Working In A Rehabilitation Setting, Preferably With Patients Who Have Traumatic Brain Injuries.

  • Knowledge Of Tbi Treatments And Protocols: A Strong Understanding Of Tbi Treatments And Protocols Is Essential For This Role, As The Lpn Will Be Responsible For Administering Medications, Monitoring Patients' Progress, And Assisting With Rehabilitation Interventions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Lpn Rehab Unit Job At Lifebridge Health Requires Frequent Interaction With Patients, Family Members, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Rapport And Providing Quality Care.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Tbi Unit At Lifebridge Health Is A Fast-Paced Environment, And Candidates Must Be Able To Thrive In This Setting. This Includes Being Able To Prioritize Tasks, Think Critically, And Adapt To Changing Situations.
