
JEWISH STAFF CHAPLAIN

- Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff of the Jewish community within our healthcare system.
- Conduct religious services, rituals, and ceremonies in accordance with Jewish traditions and customs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive holistic care that addresses their spiritual needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with patients and their families to offer ongoing spiritual support and guidance.
- Offer counseling and spiritual guidance to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, adapting approach and understanding to meet their specific needs.
- Advocate for the spiritual needs of the Jewish community within the healthcare system.
- Provide education and resources to staff members to promote cultural competency and understanding of Jewish beliefs and practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions.
- Stay up-to-date on Jewish traditions and beliefs to provide accurate and relevant support to patients and families.
- Serve as a liaison between the healthcare system and local Jewish organizations and clergy.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care plans and provide spiritual perspective and support.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of interactions and services provided.
- Collaborate with other chaplains and spiritual care providers to offer support and coverage as needed.
- Continuously reflect on and evaluate personal biases and beliefs to ensure culturally sensitive and inclusive care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in spiritual care.
Certification As A Rabbi Or Ordained Member Of The Clergy In The Jewish Faith.
Experience Providing Spiritual Counseling And Guidance To Individuals And Families Within A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Jewish Customs, Traditions, And Practices.
Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Diverse Team Of Healthcare Professionals And Community Leaders.
