
HOSPICE AIDE

We are seeking a caring and empathetic individual to join our team and help us fulfill our commitment to improving the quality of life for our patients. - Provide direct patient care and emotional support to hospice patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, intake and output, and changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the hospice nurse.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure the best possible care for each patient.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospice policies and procedures.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, in-services, and educational programs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Provide end-of-life education and support to patients and their families.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and respect towards patients, families, and co-workers.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as hospice policies and procedures.
- Continuously strive to improve patient care and promote a positive work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Completion Of A State-Approved Hospice Aide Training Program Or Equivalent Experience In A Healthcare Setting.
Current Certification As A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Home Health Aide (Hha).
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working In Hospice Care Or A Related Field.
Knowledge And Understanding Of End-Of-Life Care, Comfort Measures, And Pain Management.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Emotional Support To Patients And Families.
