- Perform surgical scrub duties in the operating room, including setting up and maintaining sterile fields and passing instruments to surgeons.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate levels are readily available for procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure proper patient positioning and safety during procedures.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, including cleaning and sterilization processes.
- Assist in transporting patients to and from the operating room and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Act as a liaison between the surgical team and other hospital staff, ensuring efficient communication and coordination of patient care.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative support to patients, including assisting with dressing changes and wound care.
- Continuously update and expand knowledge of surgical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient care.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while providing compassionate care to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and maintain effective working relationships to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with advancements in surgical technology and procedures.
- Represent LifeBridge Health in a positive manner and promote our mission of providing exceptional care and service to our patients.
Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technologist, Preferably In An Operating Room Setting.
Proficient In A Wide Range Of Surgical Procedures, Including Orthopedic, Neurologic, And Cardiac Surgeries.
Knowledge Of Sterile Techniques And Infection Control Protocols.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills In A Fast-Paced Environment.
