- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address and resolve grievances and complaints.
- Utilize knowledge of patient rights and healthcare policies to ensure fair and ethical treatment of patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather information and provide updates on the status of grievances and complaints.
- Investigate and analyze patient grievances and complaints to determine possible causes and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the healthcare facility to address and resolve grievances and complaints.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all grievances and complaints, including relevant documentation and communication.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to effectively manage and resolve grievances and complaints.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are heard and addressed.
- Monitor and report on patient satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices related to patient relations and satisfaction.
- Provide support and guidance to other healthcare staff regarding patient rights and grievance resolution.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.

- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to patient relations and grievance resolution.
- Any other duties or tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.
Strong Communication Skills: The Patient Relations Coordinator Must Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Staff Members.
Knowledge Of Patient Rights And Grievance Procedures: In Order To Effectively Handle Patient Grievances, The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Patient Rights And The Grievance Process.
Empathy And Compassion: The Role Of A Grievance Specialty-Patient Relations Coordinator Requires A High Level Of Empathy And Compassion Towards Patients And Their Families, As They May Be Dealing With Difficult Or Emotional Situations.
Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Situations, Identify The Root Cause Of The Grievance, And Come Up With Effective Solutions To Resolve The Issue.
