Job Description

If so, LifeBridge Health is seeking a Grievance Specialty - Patient Relations Coordinator to join our team and help us uphold our commitment to providing exceptional patient care. In this role, you will serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address and resolve grievances and complaints.   1. Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address and resolve grievances and complaints.
  2. Utilize knowledge of patient rights and healthcare policies to ensure fair and ethical treatment of patients.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather information and provide updates on the status of grievances and complaints.
  4. Investigate and analyze patient grievances and complaints to determine possible causes and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the healthcare facility to address and resolve grievances and complaints.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all grievances and complaints, including relevant documentation and communication.
  7. Develop and implement processes and procedures to effectively manage and resolve grievances and complaints.
  8. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are heard and addressed.
  9. Monitor and report on patient satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices related to patient relations and satisfaction.
  11. Provide support and guidance to other healthcare staff regarding patient rights and grievance resolution.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
  13. Uphold the mission and values of LifeBridge Health, promoting a culture of patient-centered care.
  14. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to patient relations and grievance resolution.
  15. Any other duties or tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Patient Relations Coordinator Must Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Staff Members.

  • Knowledge Of Patient Rights And Grievance Procedures: In Order To Effectively Handle Patient Grievances, The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Patient Rights And The Grievance Process.

  • Empathy And Compassion: The Role Of A Grievance Specialty-Patient Relations Coordinator Requires A High Level Of Empathy And Compassion Towards Patients And Their Families, As They May Be Dealing With Difficult Or Emotional Situations.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Situations, Identify The Root Cause Of The Grievance, And Come Up With Effective Solutions To Resolve The Issue.

  • Experience In Healthcare: It Is Preferred That The Candidate Has Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, As They Will Be Familiar With The Industry And Have A Better Understanding Of Patient Care And The Healthcare System.
