  1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families by ensuring their dietary needs and preferences are met.
  2. Prepare and serve meals to patients according to their prescribed diets and nutritional needs.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive appropriate meal plans and nutrition education.
  4. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the food service area, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  5. Monitor food inventory and assist in ordering and stocking supplies.
  6. Maintain accurate records of food and beverage consumption and report any issues or concerns to management.
  7. Assist in menu planning and recipe development to ensure variety and nutritional balance.
  8. Communicate with patients, their families, and healthcare team members regarding special dietary needs and requests.
  9. Provide support and guidance to patients and their families in making healthy food choices.
  10. Adhere to dietary restrictions and allergies, and ensure proper handling and storage of food items.
  11. Train and supervise other food service staff members, ensuring they follow proper food handling and safety protocols.
  12. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in nutrition to provide the best possible service to patients.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
  14. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the food and nutrition services provided.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of LifeBridge Health.

Job Qualifications

  • Degree In Nutrition Or A Related Field: A Food And Nutrition Host At Lifebridge Health Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field. This Educational Background Ensures Knowledge Of Basic Nutrition Principles And Dietary Guidelines.

  • Experience In Food Service Or Hospitality: Previous Experience In A Food Service Or Hospitality Setting Is Essential For A Food And Nutrition Host. This Experience Provides A Strong Foundation In Customer Service, Food Handling, And Kitchen Operations.

  • Knowledge Of Special Dietary Needs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Knowledge Of Special Dietary Needs Such As Allergies, Intolerances, And Medical Conditions That Require Specific Dietary Restrictions. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Ensuring That Patients Receive Appropriate And Safe Meals.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Food And Nutrition Host, Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For Interacting With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Kitchen Staff. Clear And Effective Communication Is Necessary To Ensure That Dietary Preferences And Restrictions Are Accurately Conveyed And Followed.
