
ED Critical Care Technician

- Provide critical care support: As an ED Critical Care Technician, your primary responsibility will be to provide critical care support to patients in the Emergency Department. This includes performing basic medical procedures such as administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with emergency interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure the highest level of care for patients. This requires effective communication and teamwork skills to provide a seamless and efficient patient experience.
- Monitor patient status: It will be your responsibility to closely monitor the status of patients and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team. This includes recognizing and responding to emergency situations and providing timely and accurate updates on patient conditions.
- Maintain equipment and supplies: You will be responsible for ensuring that all critical care equipment and supplies are properly stocked and in good working condition. This includes conducting regular checks and reporting any malfunctions or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to safety protocols: As a critical care technician, it is essential to follow strict safety protocols to protect both yourself and patients. This includes maintaining a clean and organized work environment, properly disposing of hazardous materials, and following infection control guidelines.
- Provide emotional support: In addition to providing medical care, you will also be responsible for providing emotional support to patients and their families during stressful and traumatic situations. - Adhere to hospital policies and procedures: You will be responsible for following all hospital policies
Certification: Candidates Must Have A Valid Certification As An Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) Or Paramedic From An Accredited Institution.
Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Critical Care Setting, Preferably In An Emergency Department, Is Required.
Critical Thinking Skills: The Ability To Think Quickly And Make Critical Decisions Under Pressure Is Crucial In This Role. Candidates Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving And Decision-Making Skills.
Communication Skills: As An Ed Critical Care Technician, It Is Essential To Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members.
Physical Requirements: This Job Requires A High Level Of Physical Fitness And Stamina, As The Role Involves A Lot Of Standing, Walking, Lifting, And Moving Patients. Candidates Must Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
