  1. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with dermatological conditions.
  2. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as biopsies and cultures, to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  3. Provide evidence-based care and treatments for a variety of dermatological conditions, including but not limited to acne, psoriasis, and skin cancer.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including dermatologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on proper skin care and disease management techniques.
  6. Conduct follow-up appointments and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and treatments in dermatology through ongoing education and training.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication records.
  9. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to patient care and privacy.
  10. Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and their rights are respected.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  12. Communicate effectively and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
  13. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  14. Continuously assess and address patient satisfaction and make efforts to improve the patient experience.
  15. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Dermatology

  • Current And Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In Dermatology Or Related Field

  • Certification As A Dermatology Nurse Practitioner By A Recognized Professional Organization (E.g. Dermatology Nurses' Association)

  • Strong Knowledge And Experience In Diagnosing And Treating Skin Disorders, Performing Biopsies And Other Dermatologic Procedures, And Prescribing Appropriate Medications/Treatments.
