- Maintain accurate medication records and document all administered medications.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects to medications and report to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure proper medication management and treatment plans for patients.
- Assist patients with medication management, including organizing medication schedules and providing education on proper administration and potential side effects.
- Attend to patients' personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their stay at LifeBridge Health.
- Participate in educational and training opportunities to maintain and improve knowledge and skills in medication administration and patient care.
- Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures related to medication administration and patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a positive and supportive environment.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Completion Of A State-Approved Medication Administration Course: A Certified Medicine Aide (Cma) At Lifebridge Health Must Have Completed A State-Approved Medication Administration Training Program. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Safely Administer Medications To Patients.
