1. Perform daily cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of medical equipment and supplies according to established protocols and guidelines.
2. Inspect and test all equipment and instruments for functionality and proper sterilization before use.
3. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
4. Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies in the Central Sterile department.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of sterile equipment and supplies for patient care.
6. Follow infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a sterile environment.
7. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
8. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for sterilization techniques and equipment.
9. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the supervisor.
10. Train and mentor new Central Sterile Techs on proper sterilization procedures and techniques.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with maintaining departmental accreditation.
12. Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations.
13. Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
14. Provide exceptional customer service and care to patients, families, and staff.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
