In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment used in our healthcare facilities. - Perform daily cleaning and sterilization of medical equipment according to established protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure equipment is properly sterilized and safe for use.
- Maintain accurate records of all sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
- Organize and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of all required tasks.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure equipment availability and cleanliness for patient care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to prevent the spread of infections.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for sterile processing.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies.
- Train and mentor new Central Sterile Technicians to ensure proper understanding of protocols and procedures.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Central Ster Tech Ll Position At Lifebridge Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.
Certification In Sterile Processing: Lifebridge Health Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed An Accredited Sterile Processing Certification Program. This Certification Demonstrates Expertise And Understanding Of Sterile Processing Principles, Techniques, And Equipment.
