Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to join our team. As a BMET at LifeBridge Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring our medical equipment is functioning properly and safely for our patients.   1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of medical equipment, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and life support equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Follow manufacturer's guidelines and industry standards in maintaining and repairing equipment.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all equipment maintenance and repairs.
  5. Ensure all equipment is in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  6. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to understand equipment needs and ensure timely repairs.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the biomedical team to develop and implement equipment maintenance plans.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements in medical technology and procedures.
  9. Train and educate healthcare staff on proper equipment usage and maintenance.
  10. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours equipment emergencies.
  11. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies and parts.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
  15. Act as a positive representative of LifeBridge Health and promote a positive work culture.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or A Related Field, Such As Electrical Engineering Or Biomedical Technology.

  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (Cbet) Certification From The Association For The Advancement Of Medical Instrumentation (Aami).

  • At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working With Medical Equipment In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Technical Skills And Knowledge Of Medical Equipment Maintenance, Repair, And Troubleshooting.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Staff And Other Bmets.
