Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for our Orthopedic unit. As an Assistant Nurse Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the daily operations of our unit, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, and supporting the growth and development of our nursing staff.   1. Manage daily operations of the Orthopedic unit, including patient flow, staffing, and resource allocation.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  3. Support and assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing the unit's budget and financial performance.
  4. Act as a role model and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and therapists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Monitor and maintain unit compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  7. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and identify areas for improvement in patient care.
  8. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new nursing staff.
  9. Manage and resolve conflicts or issues within the unit, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  10. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and upper management, communicating any concerns or suggestions for improvement.
  11. Keep updated on current developments and best practices in orthopedic nursing and implement them in the unit.
  12. Serve as a resource for patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and ensure they are followed by nursing staff.
  14. Participate in meetings and committees as required.
  15. Maintain accurate and complete records and reports as necessary.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or hospital administration.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field From An Accredited University

  • At Least Two Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably In Orthopedic Nursing

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Orthopedic Nursing Principles, Practices, And Procedures

  • Strong Communication, Organizational, And Critical Thinking Skills With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
