  1. Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients in the neurocritical care unit.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  3. Demonstrate a strong understanding of neurocritical care and evidence-based practices.
  4. Monitor and assess patient progress and respond to any changes in condition.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  9. Stay current on advancements and best practices in neurocritical care through continuing education and professional development.
  10. Demonstrate a commitment to providing quality care and improving patient outcomes.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  12. Work collaboratively with other APPs and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care for patients.
  13. Provide support and guidance to less experienced staff members.

Job Qualifications
  • Board Certification In Neurocritical Care: This Qualification Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Expertise In The Management Of Critically Ill Neurological Patients.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Neurocritical Care: Having Experience In A High-Acuity Environment Is Essential For This Role, As It Requires The Ability To Make Quick And Accurate Decisions In Complex Situations.

  • Current Advanced Practice Provider (App) License: A Valid And Up-To-Date License As A Physician Assistant Or Nurse Practitioner Is Required To Practice In The State Of Employment.

  • Acls And Bls Certifications: As A Night App In Neurocritical Care, The Ability To Respond To Emergencies And Provide Life-Saving Interventions Is Crucial. Thus, Having Current Certifications In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Is Required.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Role Of An App In Neurocritical Care Requires Close Collaboration With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Physicians, Nurses, And Therapists. Strong Communication And Teamwork Abilities Are Vital For Providing Optimal Patient Care.
