- Manage the admissions process for all patients entering our healthcare facilities.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather and update information.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for admission.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure a smooth transition for patients from pre-admission to post-discharge.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of patient admissions and discharges.
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement for services.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and policies related to admissions and insurance.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the admissions process.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to potential patients.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure a seamless admission process.
- Other duties as assigned by the admissions manager or director.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Admissions Or Patient Registration Within A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Verification And Authorization Processes.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations And Handle Sensitive Information With Confidentiality.
Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record Systems And Microsoft Office Suite.
