
Activities Assistant
Are you an energetic and organized individual looking to make a difference in the lives of seniors? Life Care Centers of America is currently seeking an Activities Assistant to join our team and help coordinate recreational activities for our residents. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for making a positive impact on our residents’ quality of life.The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications: a High School Diploma or equivalent; experience working with seniors in a healthcare setting; the ability to work independently and effectively multitask; strong organizational and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and customer service skills; and knowledge of dementia is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities for residents.
- Provide support to residents in participating in activities.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of residents while they are participating in activities.
- Assist with stocking and maintaining activity supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and policies.
- Assist with documentation and recordkeeping.
- Develop positive relationships with residents, family, and staff.
- Interact and communicate effectively with residents, families, and other staff.
- Assist in providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings.
