Certification As A Trauma Registrar: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Would Possess A Certification As A Trauma Registrar From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Trauma Society Or The National Trauma Registry.
Knowledge Of Trauma Registry Software: Experience Working With Trauma Registry Software, Such As Traumabase Or Traumaone, Is A Must For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Demonstrate Proficiency In Data Entry, Data Analysis, And Report Generation Using These Tools.
Strong Understanding Of Trauma Data Standards: A Trauma Registrar Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Trauma Data Standards, Such As The National Trauma Data Standard (Ntds) And The Abbreviated Injury Scale (Ais). This Will Help Ensure Accurate And Consistent Data Collection And Reporting.
Medical Terminology And Anatomy Knowledge: As A Trauma Registrar, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Abstracting Medical Records And Entering Data Related To Injuries And Treatments. Therefore, A Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Anatomy Is Essential For This Role.
