As a Trauma Registrar, you will play a vital role in accurately documenting and maintaining records of trauma patients in our healthcare system.   1. Accurately document and maintain records of trauma patients in the healthcare system.
  2. Ensure all trauma patient information is entered into the appropriate databases in a timely manner.
  3. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other team members to obtain necessary information for patient records.
  4. Review and verify all patient information for accuracy and completeness.
  5. Monitor and track trauma patient outcomes and follow-up appointments.
  6. Stay updated on all trauma registry regulations and guidelines.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and complete data collection.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  9. Identify and report any discrepancies or errors in patient records.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to trauma patient care.
  11. Attend regular meetings and training sessions to stay updated on trauma registry processes and procedures.
  12. Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
  13. Keep detailed and organized records of all trauma patient data.
  14. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Continuously strive to improve the efficiency and accuracy of trauma patient documentation.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Trauma Registrar: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Would Possess A Certification As A Trauma Registrar From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Trauma Society Or The National Trauma Registry.

  • Knowledge Of Trauma Registry Software: Experience Working With Trauma Registry Software, Such As Traumabase Or Traumaone, Is A Must For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Demonstrate Proficiency In Data Entry, Data Analysis, And Report Generation Using These Tools.

  • Strong Understanding Of Trauma Data Standards: A Trauma Registrar Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Trauma Data Standards, Such As The National Trauma Data Standard (Ntds) And The Abbreviated Injury Scale (Ais). This Will Help Ensure Accurate And Consistent Data Collection And Reporting.

  • Medical Terminology And Anatomy Knowledge: As A Trauma Registrar, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Abstracting Medical Records And Entering Data Related To Injuries And Treatments. Therefore, A Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Anatomy Is Essential For This Role.

  • Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Attention To Detail And Strong Analytical Skills To Accurately Abstract And Analyze Complex Medical Records. This Will Ensure The Integrity And Quality Of The Data Collected, Which Is Crucial For Patient Care Improvement And Research Purposes.
