  1. Collect, verify, and analyze trauma data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and coding to accurately record patient information.
  3. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by identifying trends and patterns in trauma data.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
  5. Ensure compliance with state and national trauma registry guidelines and standards.
  6. Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
  7. Participate in training and education programs to stay updated on trauma registry best practices.
  8. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the job.
  9. Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve department goals.
  10. Utilize electronic health record systems and data management tools to input and retrieve patient information.
  11. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and staff to obtain necessary data and resolve discrepancies.
  12. Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to management.
  13. Participate in trauma program meetings and provide reports on trauma data as needed.
  14. Maintain a thorough understanding of trauma registry policies and procedures.
  15. Possess a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification and maintain current knowledge of industry standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Trauma Center Or Acute Care Facility.

  • Certified Trauma Registrar (Ctr) Designation From The American Trauma Society Or Willingness To Obtain Within 6 Months Of Hire.

  • Proficient In Medical Terminology, Icd-10 Coding, And Data Abstraction.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Analyze And Interpret Complex Medical Records.

  • Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.
