Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technologist Program: A Candidate For This Position Should Have A Degree Or Certification From An Accredited Surgical Technologist Program. This Ensures That They Have Received The Necessary Training And Education To Perform The Duties Of A Surgical Technologist In A Safe And Effective Manner.
Knowledge Of Women's Services Procedures And Equipment: A Surgical Technologist In A Women's Services Department Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Specific Procedures And Equipment Used In This Area. This Includes Knowledge Of Gynecological And Obstetrical Surgeries, As Well As The Instruments And Equipment Used In These Procedures.
Certification As A Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst): Legacy Health Prefers Candidates Who Are Certified As A Cst. This Certification Is Obtained By Passing A National Exam And Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Competency In The Field Of Surgical Technology.
Experience In A Women's Services Department: Previous Experience Working In A Women's Services Department Is Highly Desirable For This Position. This Experience Can Come From A Variety Of Settings, Including Hospitals, Surgical Centers, Or Obstetric/Gynecological Offices.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: A Surgical Technologist In Women's Services Must Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment. They Will Be Working Closely With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals, So The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Work Collaboratively Is Essential.
