As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures.   1. Provide assistance to surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures.
  2. Prepare and maintain the operating room prior to and during surgeries.
  3. Sterilize and prepare surgical instruments and equipment.
  4. Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during procedures.
  5. Assist with patient positioning and draping.
  6. Monitor and maintain a sterile field.
  7. Handle and dispose of surgical specimens according to protocol.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members, including surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and supplies used.
  10. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions or issues.
  11. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
  13. Stay up-to-date with advancements and changes in surgical technology and techniques.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of Legacy Health in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technologist In A Hospital Or Surgical Center Setting.

  • Knowledge And Proficiency In Surgical Instrumentation, Equipment, And Procedures Across Multiple Surgical Specialties.

  • Strong Understanding Of Sterile Techniques And Infection Control Practices.

  • Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Surgical Environment.
