  1. Prepare surgical equipment and supplies for procedures, ensuring everything is sterile and in proper working order.
  2. Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  4. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and be able to quickly and efficiently respond to any requests or changes during the procedure.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and comfort of the patient throughout the surgical process.
  6. Communicate effectively with the surgical team, providing updates and relaying important information as necessary.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies, restocking as needed.
  8. Help train and mentor new surgical technologists to ensure a cohesive and efficient team.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to enhance the quality of care and service provided to patients.
  11. Remain up-to-date on advancements and changes in surgical technology and procedures.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  14. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude while promoting the values and mission of Legacy Health.
  15. Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed and updated on any changes or updates in policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa)

  • Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Surgical Technologist Experience In A Hospital Setting

  • Strong Understanding Of Surgical Procedures, Instrumentation, And Sterile Technique

  • Bls (Basic Life Support) Certification From The American Heart Association
