- Oversee the daily operations of the Nutrition Services department to ensure efficient and effective delivery of meals to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of nutrition services staff, including cooks, dietary aides, and other support staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality control.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and dietary, to ensure that patient and staff dietary needs are met.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food and supplies as needed.
- Manage budget and expenses for the nutrition services department.
- Stay updated on current nutrition trends and standards to enhance the quality of meals provided.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for nutrition services staff.
- Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns regarding food service.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding processes for new nutrition services staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
- Ensure that all food service equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to food service operations.
- Represent the Nutrition Services department in meetings and committees as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role In A Healthcare Or Food Service Setting.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Certified Dietary Manager (Cdm) Certification Preferred.
Strong Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Regulations, As Well As Nutrition Guidelines And Principles.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team.
