  1. Perform ultrasound exams on patients using state-of-the-art technology.

  3. Follow safety protocols and ensure proper patient positioning during exams.
  4. Review and analyze exam results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient exams and procedures.
  7. Keep up-to-date with advancements in technology and techniques in the field of sonography.
  8. Adhere to all patient confidentiality and privacy policies.
  9. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding during exams.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  12. Troubleshoot equipment issues and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
  13. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  14. Actively participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  15. Continuously strive to improve and enhance patient care and overall departmental processes.
  16. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
  17. Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions.
  18. Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
  19. Attend and participate in continuing education courses to maintain and improve technical skills.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Education And Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography, With Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms), Is Required For This Position. Additional Certifications In Specialized Areas Such As Abdominal, Obstetrics, Or Vascular Sonography May Also Be Preferred.

  • Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Hospital Or Outpatient Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Ultrasound Equipment, Techniques, And Imaging Protocols.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Anatomy: A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Human Anatomy Is Essential For Accurate Interpretation Of Ultrasound Images And Communication With Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: Sonographers Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Accurately Identify And Document Abnormalities In Ultrasound Images. This Includes Being Able To Recognize Subtle Differences In Shades Of Gray And Being Able To Adjust Imaging Parameters As Needed.

  • Interpersonal And Communication Skills: Sonographers Must Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes Being Able To Explain Procedures And Answer Questions, As Well As Providing Emotional Support To Patients During Sensitive Procedures.
