Job Description

In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.   1. Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following established security protocols and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of all areas of the facility to identify potential security risks and address any safety concerns.
  3. Respond promptly and appropriately to any security incidents or emergencies, including but not limited to, theft, vandalism, disruptive behavior, and medical emergencies.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the safety and security team to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security incidents, including written reports and documentation of any evidence collected.
  6. Monitor and control access to restricted areas of the facility, such as medication storage rooms and sensitive patient information.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff to provide information and assistance, while also enforcing rules and regulations to ensure safety.
  8. Stay up-to-date on all security and safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education programs to enhance security knowledge and skills.
  10. Serve as a role model for upholding our values of integrity and compassion in all interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Safety And Security Protocols: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. They Should Be Knowledgeable About Safety And Security Procedures, Including Emergency Response And Risk Assessment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Safety/Security Associate Officer Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With A Diverse Group Of People, Including Staff, Patients, And Visitors. They Should Also Have Strong Conflict Resolution Skills And Be Able To De-Escalate Tense Situations.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Compliance: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety And Security Regulations, Including Hipaa, Osha, And Cms Requirements. They Should Also Be Familiar With State And Federal Laws Related To Healthcare Security.

  • Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Abilities: A Key Aspect Of This Role Is Identifying Potential Safety And Security Risks And Taking Appropriate Measures To Mitigate Them. Candidates Should Have Excellent Attention To Detail And Critical Thinking Skills To Effectively Address Any Issues That May Arise.

  • Physical Fitness And Ability To Handle Emergencies: This Position May Require The Ability To Be On Your Feet For Long Periods Of Time And Respond Quickly To Emergencies. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle Physically Demanding Tasks, Such As Restraining Individuals If Necessary. Cpr And First Aid Certification May Also Be Required.
