
RN Staff Nurse - Medical Oncology
Legacy Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Oncology team as a Staff Nurse. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, possess excellent communication and collaborative skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The right candidate will be a critical thinker and creative problem solver who is comfortable working independently and providing education to patient families.The successful applicant must have a valid RN license in the state of Oregon, as well as a minimum of one year of recent experience in a medical oncology setting. We are looking for a self-motivated, reliable professional who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We are eager to welcome a Staff Nurse to our team who can bring their enthusiasm, expertise, and experience to our growing medical oncology department.
Responsibilities: • Provide patient-centered care to oncology patients in accordance with the standards of practice and scope of care as outlined by Legacy Health • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care to patients • Educate patient families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess and address patient needs • Monitor and document patient progress, providing timely and accurate information to the medical team • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician • Ensure all safety and infection control protocols are met • Remain current on new developments, trends, and best practices in oncology nursing • Maintain a valid RN license in the state of Oregon
