Job Description

At Legacy Health, we are looking for a Radiation Therapy Technologist who can provide exceptional patient care with compassion and respect. As a Radiation Therapy Technologist, you will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to our patients while assisting the Radiation Oncologist in the delivery of radiation treatments. The ideal candidate should have an Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or a related field, be certified in Radiation Therapy, and have a minimum of one year of experience in Radiation Therapy. You should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and have a commitment to providing top-notch service to our patients. Responsibilites:

  1. Administer radiation treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
  2. Assist the Radiation Oncologist in the delivery of radiation treatments.
  3. Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure accurate dosing.
  4. Evaluate patient charts and images to determine treatment plans.
  5. Educate patients about radiation treatments and answer questions.
  6. Ensure patient safety by following safety protocols.
  7. Track patient progress and document treatments.
  8. Maintain detailed records of patient treatments.
  9. Monitor patient reactions to treatments.
  10. Maintain radiation therapy equipment and ensure it is in safe working condition.
  11. Develop and implement radiation therapy protocols.
  12. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  13. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  14. Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  15. Provide exceptional patient care with compassion and respect.
