Job Description

  1. Assist licensed physical therapists in providing patient care according to established protocols and treatment plans.
  2. Greet and welcome patients upon arrival, creating a friendly and welcoming environment.
  3. Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient use.
  4. Help patients with exercises and activities as directed by the physical therapist.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the physical therapist.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  9. Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  10. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
  11. Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and overall quality of care.
  12. Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on new techniques and procedures.
  13. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  15. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Legacy Health and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Physical Therapy Aide At Legacy Health Should Possess At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Demonstrate A Basic Level Of Education And Competence.

  • Cpr Certification: A Physical Therapy Aide Should Possess A Current Cpr Certification To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Patients During Therapy Sessions.

  • Relevant Coursework Or Experience: Candidates With Relevant Coursework Or Experience In Physical Therapy, Kinesiology, Or Exercise Science Will Be Given Preference For The Role Of A Physical Therapy Aide.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Physical Therapy Aide, One Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Therapists, And Other Healthcare Professionals Effectively.

  • Physical Stamina And Dexterity: The Job Of A Physical Therapy Aide Requires Physical Stamina And Dexterity To Assist Patients With Exercises And Perform Other Physical Tasks, Such As Lifting And Positioning Patients. A Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Stand For Long Periods.
