Pharmacy Student Intern

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Pharmacy Student Intern to join our team at Legacy Health. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience while working alongside our expert pharmacists. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and a commitment to helping our patients get the medication they need.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a professional attitude. You must also be currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program and have a valid pharmacy technician license. Responsibilities:

1. Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescribed medications to patients accurately and efficiently.
2. Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed.
3. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy.
4. Receive and process medication orders and verify accuracy of information.
5. Ensure that all medications are stored properly and securely.
6. Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area.
7. Provide patient education and counseling on medication use and side effects.
8. Assist with inventory management and ordering of medications.
9. Participate in continuing education activities to stay informed of current pharmacy practices.
10. Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
