  1. Monitor patients: The primary responsibility of a Patient Safety Attendant is to closely monitor patients to ensure their safety and well-being. This includes observing the patient's behavior, vital signs, and any potential risks or hazards in their environment.
  2. Respond to emergencies: In the event of an emergency, the Patient Safety Attendant must be prepared to act quickly and appropriately. This may involve calling for assistance, administering first aid, or implementing safety protocols.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education: A Patient Safety Attendant Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education To Ensure They Have A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Cpr/Bls Certification: It Is Essential For A Patient Safety Attendant To Have A Current Cpr/Bls Certification To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Basic Life Support In Case Of A Medical Emergency.

  • Previous Healthcare Experience: Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As Working As A Certified Nursing Assistant Or Medical Assistant, Can Be Beneficial For A Patient Safety Attendant. This Experience Will Provide Them With A Basic Understanding Of Patient Care And Safety Protocols.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of A Patient Safety Attendant Involves Working Closely With Patients And Healthcare Providers. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
