Patient Access Representative

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Patient Access Representative to join our team at Legacy Health! As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for providing exemplary customer service to patients and families. You will be the first point of contact for patients and will ensure that all check-ins and pre-registrations are completed accurately and efficiently.To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable working with different types of people and is eager to learn new skills. Responsibilities:

1. Greet and check-in patients and families in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Ensure all pre-registration and check-in procedures are completed accurately and efficiently.
3. Answer patient and family inquiries over the phone and in-person, providing accurate information in a timely manner.
4. Assist patients and families in understanding their insurance coverage and payment options.
5. Provide excellent customer service throughout the patient’s visit.
6. Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
7. Assist with scheduling patient appointments and procedures.
8. Maintain accurate records of patient information.
9. Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a positive patient experience.
10. Stay up-to-date on healthcare regulations and procedures.
