Job Description

Legacy Health is looking for an experienced, passionate, and motivated Ophthalmic Photographer to join our team at Legacy Health. In this role, you will use specialized ophthalmic photography equipment to take photographs of the eyes and interpret visual information for use by our ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating ocular diseases. We are seeking a highly organized individual who is comfortable working in a hospital setting and is able to work independently and as part of a team.The successful candidate must have a certificate in Ophthalmic Photography from an accredited college or technical school and at least one year of experience in ophthalmic photography. Knowledge of ophthalmic photography equipment and techniques is required, as well as a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology of the eye. Candidates must be able to maintain accurate records and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize specialized ophthalmic photography equipment to take photographs of eyes for use in diagnosing and treating ocular diseases.
  2. Maintain accurate records of ophthalmic photography information.
  3. Ensure proper operation of ophthalmic photography equipment.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the eye.
  5. Communicate effectively with ophthalmologists, patients, and other members of the healthcare team.
  6. Interact professionally with patients and effectively explain the ophthalmic photography process.
  7. Lift and move ophthalmic photography equipment as needed.
  8. Stand for extended periods of time.
  9. Work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Adhere to established protocols and procedures.
