
Occupational Therapy Assistant Certified - Acute Care

As an OTA in our acute care setting, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team to help patients regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life. - Provide compassionate and skilled occupational therapy services to patients in our acute care setting.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Assist in the assessment of patients' physical and cognitive abilities to determine appropriate intervention techniques.
- Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' functional abilities.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for daily living tasks.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and update treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of occupational therapy services.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and techniques in occupational therapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Follow all organizational policies and procedures related to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervising occupational therapist or department manager.
Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.
Current Certification As A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Cota) From The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In An Acute Care Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Rehabilitation Center.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Occupational Therapy Principles And Techniques, As Well As Current Treatment Modalities And Equipment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Healthcare Teams.
