Medical Technologist - Technical Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Medical Technologist - Technical Specialist to join the team at Legacy Health. In this role, you will provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, and evaluation of laboratory processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring that clinical laboratory services meet the high standards of quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience as a Medical Technologist, with at least one year in a Technical Specialist role. You should also have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field and be certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement and evaluate laboratory processes to ensure a high level of quality assurance, regulatory compliance and patient safety.
2. Serve as a technical specialist providing expertise in the clinical laboratory services.
3. Maintain and update technical skills and knowledge regarding laboratory processes and procedures.
4. Collaborate with team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely laboratory results.
5. Monitor and assess laboratory quality control procedures.
6. Ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and safety standards.
7. Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment.
8. Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures.
9. Train and mentor laboratory staff in the use of laboratory equipment and techniques.
10. Monitor and report laboratory performance metrics.
